First acoustic gig
1998 at a party. It was a great long night and they still keep performing as a duo since. .
It all sounded very fresh and open, playing in all these different tunings trying to find the right licks to every song.
Amsterdam-Cork
may 2002.
- You know there was this lady selling food en drinks at the Amsterdam Airport.
So we had a very cold beer. She was very nice and asked us where we were hidden for.
West-Cork Ireland.
There were no further customers for that moment so she had a minute of her time for us.
- She said: 'Well ....you're gonna meet somebody over there. Somebody very special to you.
Well indeed a very exiting early morning start. And another ice cold beer.
But then the Boeing 737 had problems!!
First it wouldn't start at all and when it finally took of , four hours late, we almost missed the plain.
But Indeed, we met somebody very special.
2004
We were at the Amsterdam Airport again and there she was.
She remembered the two of us very well and we told her what happened.
She was not surprised at all.
No, instead she did another prophecy
-'This time' she said 'we could expect a gig at a radio station'.
Believe it or not
We really did an interview and played a few songs for an Irish radio station in Bandon.
So you met Noel Redding at De Barras.
How was it?
-Yes, he was really very kind..
We met him about five times, heaving a pint talking about music and other stuff
-Noel and Didi agreed they both did't like the use of any tuning- machines at all.
Redding:
Hendrix said;

The first song was Killing Floor,
and that was it!
We had no tuning machines,
no monitors and even no setlist'.

We still are very greatfull
for the few fantastic moments we shared with the man.
And for beeing a small part in the incredible story of his live.
So all the best to Noel, where ever he may be.

Part 2
'One night driving home from a gig you got almost killed?
Oh yes, this huge hare crossed the road. It was a very dark road. Just a bit of moonlight and very dark shadows.
The hare first ran along the car so I did slow down a bit expecting it would cross the road any second.
Well it did just a few inches in front of the car, looking me straight in the eyeS.
It was very strange you see it seemed all a bit unreal
in some way.
I don't know why but at that point I said: Well
imagine a horse.....

THAN.......
Two gigantic horses almost crashed into our car,
mist us just a few inches.
So the hare or what ever it was safed our lives that night driving back home from a gig...

Buiten nederlandwerd er ook al met succes opgetreden in de Belgium, Luxemburg, Engeland, Ierland en Germany.
Met haar super power blues stem imponeert Ingrid vanaf de eerste noot.
En met zijn uitmuntend gitaarspel zet Didi een krachtige ritme neer en volgt hij elke nuance in haar sublieme zang.
Ze hebben overigens een hekel aan korte optredens
en vervelende soundchecks.
